Posts: 6,010 Group: Warrior Member #1,023 Joined: November 9, 2008	My tourney was my last effort to keep HaloPC some what interesting but even that is starting to fail. The draft and three team leagues worked out to an extent but only lasted a couple months. Is there any ideas anyone has to keep Halo going? A league type? Different kind of tourney? I will try anything at this point. If people learned how to make teams on HPT and actually stay on those teams, at least HPT would do some justice.

My issue is i don't want to do the work wrangling up players, both my team and other team. its not fun and i just dont want to do it. i either want impromptu stuff (like a pick up scrim/PUG), or, something where everyone who has signed up has already committed to showing up at a specific time (such as in a 1 day tourney). hpt20 yeah but it is hard to take invents srsly. everyone either rage quits or messes around while playing. Then just don't play with those people. Nothing inherently wrong with invents. The league is just a framework of rules to make things run smoothly, but things should naturally run smoothly if you're playing with people you like. Back in my day, when ye were but a wee lad, when playing scrims, sometimes people would accuse eachother (or be suspicious) of other players due to something they did in game. Often the person being suspicious might ask the other guy to plz upload a particular piece of footage, and often the other guy would happily oblige (to be accused of hacking when you're not is only a complement). If the suspicious guy repeatedly would never show anyone his footage, or if a whole team did this, then teams would usually try to shy away from playing those sorts of people, and tend towards playing against the people they trusted more. This ostracization concept can also be applied to 'people who don't take games seriously', or to whatever metric you care about.

The only thing I can think of is if those kids in i2d vent who invent all the time just make one hpt team or 2 and join up. They wont like that tho because they love to scrim with each other or w/e and hate hpts (either because of dodging or w/e). the entire concept of a "clan" or a "team" is sort of down the drain because there are so few players left. Your best is probably what sam suggested, although I dont know how many people will accept it since most are stubborn and proud. You need a central vent where people can just come in, play invent hpts with whoever is on and leave. Masoods vent is sort of like that rightnow, i see people coming in and mingling with one and other and sometimes if we get like 6-8 people, we start up an invent and it works out pretty well. this only works with certain players tho because some faggots literally just want clips and that's it** I honestly just pub now and I'm not gonna be able to play at all forever in 1 week so I wish u the best

Deleted User	ya people have quit the game because they never play west coast servers ctu pro on a more serious note, there is nothing people can do to save halo because of ddossing , invents, and intimidation ... pub kids aren't introduced to hpt, and when they are they are intimidated, then they turn to invents which aren't successful due to ddossing... the game has many flaws, but the one fatal flaw is the lack of game support we have no REAL anti cheat ( 2 years from now when a working one is released, i bet people will still find ways to cheat ) we have no support from the creators ( no updates, no new maps, features, fixes to the coding ) and we have no source of protection from ddos because the supporters dropped us.. no plan or idea can save it, let it die and enjoy it while it does & for those who look at invents as the downfall of hpts, you need to rethink it the downfall of hpt was intimidation, ddossing, and cheating.. invents are a way for kids who don't want an extremely competitive "tryhard" game of halo. And as for i2d people - they are hopelessly lost within their own little world. They switch between games every two weeks, and when they play halo they constantly allow cheaters to play, and they ban everyone or kick anyone out of the invents if they aren't suck ups because retards like around, nepra, and such run the invents no great mind or idea can save this game we love, only the developers - and the chances of getting game support from them are slim to none
